Basically, if you are russian/soviet or truly are familiar with the culture, this movie will seem like another prototypical failed hollywood attempt at capturing the russian mob essense. It is a horrible representation, absolutely untrue, and laugh out loud funny for most of the scenes. Do not waste your time watching this.

Fortunately for the film makers most of the audience does not know any better, so this might seem like a good flick. Even then, I found myself extremely bored by the plot.
