' You’ll recall that many months ago I wrote that I believed Microsoft was vehemently supporting the underdog HD DVD format in an attempt to confuse the public and cause sufficient consumer hesitation to allow it to develop and deploy its own download service. Now comes word that its the X-Box 360 video game console will be able to download high definition movies for temporary storage on its hard drive. The service is expected to be launched on November 22nd. Rumored titles include Mission Impossible 3 and Superman Returns; they will be rentals, but costs are not yet available. Expect a high definition film download to take several hours.
