Получил я тут Динозавриков двух дисковых и обломался - мой NAD напрочь отказывается играть диск. Сначала долго его помурыжив, просто открывал трэй назад. Потом начал поговаривать, что No Disk. Я ему из фольги вырезал блин, сверху положил - не помогло Потом, когда дисочек уже осповательно прогрелся, NAD таки перестал его выплевывать, но дальше надписи "Read@ так и не продвинулся. Как выяснилось, это общая беда всех NAD'ов. Я уж жалобу кляузную нарисовал производителям, и они ответили, однако! Кому интересно, читайте:

I am sorry about the problems you are experiencing.

The Dinosaur difficulty is common to many, many DVD players. There is
something very wrong with this recording.

As several websites on the web will verify, there are many anomalies with
certain DVDs and certain players. Different manufacturers of DVD recordings
implement standards in different ways, and the makers of DVD players have
to design for their best guess of the standards that will prevail in
practice. So one recording will play perfectly on one machine and not on
another, and a different one will play perfectly on the first machine but
not on the other. It is maddening, and will not be fully resolved until all
DVD recordings adhere faithfully to a single, unvarying standard. As things
now stand, there unfortunately is not a single DVD player in the world that
will play absolutely all DVDs without problems.

Having said that, I should also say that there are indeed issues that might
be dealt with through firmware upgrades on our (and other) recorders. They
will do nothing about the Dinosaur problem, but they might handle the

Ну и естессно, Panasonic A100 сожрал его без проблем. Только звук там стерео, понимашь (нету DD декодера). А еще я специально под мою текущую конфигурацию внешний DTS-декодер из Штатов заказал. Вот сижу и думу думаю: чего делать? Оставлять диск до следующего апгрейда проигрывателя? Или возвернуть его?
