Come on! How could you not know the answer to this question??? The fall of communism in Eastern Europe was the major groundbreaking event of the last few decades, after the Vietnam War. You haven't noticed that nobody talks about the USSR in the news anymore?
Russia has elections, but they are not democratic like the US. Putin is basically a dictator who rules behind the scenes. The new president is just Putin's puppet.
The Russian government will be whatever it needs to be. It is communist in nature, although states it is now some-what democratic. The people there do not truly have free wills. They do whatever they are told, still cannot and do not speak freely in public, and all work is done, by all, for the benefit of Mother Russia.

Even though they consider themselves a democratic country, they are different from the United States. Ive heard some sketchy stuff about their government with their affiliation with the KGB.
Technically they are now a democratic country but many people there, especially in high offices *cough* Putin *cough* like to think they are still Communist.
