It seems there could be problems with the new Region 1 special edition 2-disc version of Dinosaur. Reader Pers from Norway says it doesn’t play properly on his Pioneer 737; after 17 seconds the sound starts to crack and then the screen goes black. Then after 7mins 4 seconds the player crashes again, this time freezing the picture. Apparently the same problem happens with replacement versions of the disc, and also on other modified 737s. On Philips’ 711 player the timer stops at 17 seconds, but the film carries on playing with the count resuming at 22 seconds! It seems likely that this disc is causing problems elsewhere, too; if you’ve got something to add, let me know.
