Этта замгенпрокурора Украины открытое письмо заслал в американский Конгресс по поводу Йули, и в газете пропечатал, сцуко:

Dear Members of the U.S. Congress!

I, Renat Kuzmin, a citizen of Ukraine, doctor of law, professor, National Academy of Public Prosecutor of Ukraine, deputy prosecutor general of Ukraine. The father of two children. Christian.

My appeal to you [is] due to the adoption by the [Sept. 22] U.S. Senate resolution on Ukraine. The basis of this resolution was the situation with [imprisoned ex-Prime Minister] Yulia Tymoshenko in Ukraine, which, in my opinion, has been incorrectly interpreted by some American politicians. The basis for such an unwitting error is lack of awareness and one-sided estimates, which formed an interested party.

It is a matter of Yulia Tymoshenko, in respect of which Ukrainian investigators investigated the case on which he made serious crimes.

I appeal to you as a person, longing to Ukrainian citizens living in a democracy. I dream about the Ukraine, where a measure of justice and the foundation of public relations is the law. I dream about the Ukraine where the law is equally valid for all citizens, including the country's leadership.

Our country gained independence 20 years ago, getting rid of the yoke of the Soviet totalitarian system. We are building a civil society of free people. On this difficult path encountered difficulties and trials, but we insist on going to the goal. U.S. is an example for Ukraine. Great country with invaluable experience in building democratic structures. We learn from you.

I have driven by a sense of patriotism and responsibility to the Ukrainian people. I sincerely believe that the decision taken in respect of Ukraine decision is unfair both to the young nation, and to all of its citizens.

Interested in making such a decision party submitting Yulia Tymoshenko, misled the Senate, giving a specially selected, one-sided information, which was based on the emotions, not facts. The second party was deprived of the opportunity to give their arguments. Not having accurate and reliable information is difficult to distinguish truth from falsehood.

The Senate, in its resolution demanded that Ukraine stop criminal prosecution of Yulia Tymoshenko, including in the organization and financing of killing a member of the Ukrainian parliament and three innocent people.

Truth cannot be much, the truth is only one. And in the case of Mrs. Tymoshenko investigators establish the truth. The request to stop the search for truth in a murder [of] four people, delivered in the Senate, has caused confusion and frustration for the majority of our society. Is the U.S. government wants to establish the truth prevent threats and ultimatums, acting from a position of strength.

In the words of the Christian saint: "God is not in force, and in truth." The task of the prosecutor to establish the truth and not to hide it from the world, no matter how painful and terrible it is.

I cannot imagine that the U.S. Senate would require the U.S. to stop the prosecutor investigating the massacre of citizens on Sept. 11, 2001 because the prosecutor checked for involvement in this terrible crime influential opposition politician. I cannot imagine that the U.S. Senate would require that Sweden termination of criminal case of the murder of Prime Minister Olof Palme, for similar reasons. The Senate clearly would not stop the search for al Qaeda leaders. I do not understand why the Senate recommends Ukraine to stop the investigation of the murder of four people.

General Prosecutor of Ukraine only in 2011-2012 more than 20 times referred to the Department of Justice and the U.S. Department of State for assistance in the interrogation of former Ukrainian Prime Minister Pavlo Lazarenko, who expressed his willingness to testify Ukrainian investigators. However, no one request we have not received a response. We have closed the possibility to obtain important evidence about the murders in Ukraine.

Perhaps the resolution of the Senate and is a response to Ukraine's efforts to find the killers of an influential politician, his wife and two innocent people? And does not that mean that such a resolution, that the man who achieved the highest levels of government, justice is not available.

And how would the U.S. react prosecutor if Ukrainian parliament would require the termination of a criminal prosecution of the former Ukrainian Prime Minister Pavlo Lazarenko, accusing the U.S. of politically motivated justice? Let me remind you that the U.S. court verdict, he is serving a ten-year sentence in a California prison.

I am willing to speak to you in Congress. I am ready to provide all the documents on the subject. I am willing to speak to the American media to tell the truth. I will be glad if you will hear me. My single motivation is the desire to communicate their position, so you know the whole truth. As former U.S. President: "One man plus the law - have the majority."

There is no doubt that the termination of the criminal case of the murder of four people, a sin against God and man. With this we have committed another crime, showing a new generation, a politician, having achieved power, can commit crimes with impunity, including murder.

Dramatic situation, which artificially creates associates Yulia Tymoshenko, should not obscure the real documentary evidence and can not allow us to compromise with the crime.
I'm sure you have been deprived of sufficient information that Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko inflicted heavy, perhaps irreparable damage, which affected the morale of the nation. We are, first and foremost, we want to ensure that it is a fair trial has answered the question of who was more convincing: the prosecutor or the defense attorney. We are confident that such a decision should not take the U.S. Senate, to which Ukrainians are the same respect and trust, as well as the Americans.

Dear Members of Congress, please accept my open letter, as thoughts of a man who believes in a higher justice. I hope that it is of supreme justice you will be guided in the decision in this complex case. I hope my letter could encourage you to go back to the resolution on Ukraine, being secured by the facts.

I wish you and your country's future success and prosperity in the way of peace and stability in our world.

Sincerely, Renat Kuzmin
