`Panasonic shows first DVD/LCD TV combi at CES
`DVD gadget fans will love this: the world's first LCD TV/DVD combi. The TC-15DT2, on show at this year's CES, features a 15in LCD screen with 854x480 resolution and progressive scan capability, with the DVD player containing built-in Dolby Digital AND DTS decoders. This groovy little toy is out in the US now for around $3,000, though disappointingly Panasonic doesn't have any immediate plans to produce a UK version.

`Yamaha VS10 Hi-Fi system for the PS2
`Yamaha is the latest manufacturer to jump on the PlayStation 2 bandwagon. The VS10 is an all-in-one home hi-fi/cinema system that has been designed to compliment the popular games console. Styled to match the PS2, it combines Dolby Digital and DTS decoders with a five-channel amplifier in a slim box that can lie on its side or on one end just like a PS2. With inputs for five analogue sources, video switching and two digital inputs, plus five speakers and a subwoofer, the VS10 is a complete home cinema solution. Released just before Christmas, the package is likely to cost around Ј400.
