Dreamworks grants you two wishes
Every since Dreamworks released their very fine Dolby Digital edition of The Prince Of Egypt last year, nary a week has gone by without someone emailing us and asking when a DTS version would be released. Well, finally, on 11/7 your wish will be answered, with a full-fledged DTS special edition that looks to have the same features as the previous Dolby version. Featuring an anamorphic transfer and English DTS 5.1 and Dolby Digital 2.0 surround mixes, the disc also includes an audio commentary with the filmmakers, "The Making Of The Prince Of Egypt," "When You Believe Multi-Language Presentation," "Basics Of Animation," and "Focus On Technical Effects" featurettes, a still gallery, trailers, cast bios and production notes. Retail is $26.95, and the Dolby Digital version has also been reduced to $26.95 as well. Also on 11/7 comes the direct-to-video sequel Joseph: King Of Dreams. The disc includes a full frame transfer and English 5.1 and 2.0 surround mixes, storyboard presentation with director's commentary, a song sing-along, trivia game, trailer, cast/crew bios and production notes. Retail is also $26.95.
