Vertical banding
Vertical banding is something that can affect individual LCD-projectors. Not all LCDs exhibit this artifact as I believe it's a result of the calibration and as such some AE300 may be perfect while others have a severe case of this artifact. Vertical banding is something that affects the LCD-panels individually, the green panel can have a lot of vertical banding while the blue and red may be perfect. Vertical banding is usually most visible in scenes which are not too bright and not too dark, and have a color tint toward the color of the affected panel. A green and/or red panel with vertical banding would show well with brown and green areas.
