  HMV - тоже сеть.

Вот тебе ещё список

AHLENS CITY - Klarabesgsgatan, 50 - Phone 676-6000

AHLENS CITY is Stockholm's biggest department store. And the most complete CD shop in the city is right inside it, on the CD department. The biggest difference from this shop to the other megastores in town is that they are more updated with the latest international releases. I mean, there are some very recent Cds you'll only find here. There are promotional counters with progressive discounts, but quality is proportional to prices. A bad point: very few promotional prices on singles.

SKIVHUSET - Drottninggatan, 20 - Phone 723-1546

Not far from Ahlens City in the main shopping street of Stockholm, SKIVHUSET is too bad organized for being such a huge shop. When I've been there it seemed as a hurricane had passed thru the store and scrambled the cds all over. Even so, it's worth browsing and looking for the hidden bonus prices in the middle of the mess.

MEGA - Sergels Torg

Located in the always busy main square of Stockholm, MEGA claims to be the biggest cd shop in Northern Europe. I don't know if it is, but it's well provided of records, and its best feature are the most recent releases with promotional prices (U$ 13,50).

SOUND POLLUTION - Stora Nygatan, 18 - Gamla Stan - Phone 20-0726 - info@soundpollution.se

In the middle of Stockholm sits Gamla Stan, the charming old city. Among the antique shops and restaurants, you'll find Sound Pollution. It's basically a hardcore/punk/gothic shop that also sells cds on the internet . Even though it's not the kind of music I hear, I could find something I was looking for very cheap in the back promotional counters.

RADIO-SHOPEN AB - Vasterlanggatan, 31 - Gamla Stan - Phone 411-5158 -

This tiny shop is located right in the middle of Gamla Stan and takes advantage of its highly touristical site by charging highly touristical prices.

RECORD PALACE - St Eriksgatan, 56 - Phone 650-1990 - Mon-Fri, 11-18; Sat, 11-15

Just as Barcelona has got its Calle Tallers, Stockholm has got its cd-specialized street as well. St. Eriksgatan is considered (by the shops who are located there) the No.1 Record Street in Europe. If it's No.1 or No.2 I really don't know, but the region is certainly packed with 14 or more cd shops spreading from Fridhemsplan subway stop to St. Eriksplan subway stop. Of the ones I've been to, RECORD PALACE seemed to be the best. Although it's Stockholm's largest vinyl store (sic), you can find a very good stock of second hand cds as well, including singles, rarities and promos (look in the upper floor) with very reasonable prices.

FREAK SCENE - St Eriksgatan, 64 - Phone 31-4838 - Mon-Fri, 11-18; Sat, 11-15

It's basically a strange little shop with the perfect name for a place that claims to be specialized in new and used records of punk, pop, hardcore, garage, surf, r&b... Wait a minute, did I say specialized ?

THE BEAT GOES ON - St Eriksgatan, 67 - Phone 31-2717 - Mon-Fri, 11-18; Sat, 11-15

New and second hand cds are displayed in this shop. It's got a good variety, but it hasn't got the most excellent prices. It will depend on how much you really want that cd you finally found here.

RECORD HUNTER - St Eriksgatan, 70 - Phone 32-2023 - Mon-Fri, 11-18; Sat, 11-16

If you've still got time to browse, welcome. The new cds here are the same as stores downtown, only a little bit cheaper. They sell used stuff as well.

ST ERIKS SKIVBORS - St Eriksgatan, 80 - Phone 30-9729 - Mon-Fri, 11-18; Sat, 11-15

Still down the same street, SKIVBORS has a stock with lots of new and second hand cds. The same hurricane I mentioned before passed here, so be prepared to browse hard. But if you find something, there's a reward: prices are cheaper in this shop.

I hadn't got the time (and the patience) to go to all shops in this area. Here are the adresses I couldn't check, for you to visit and give your own opinion. If you send me it, I will publish here.
