Technics to pull out of audio separates In another sign of the troubles currently facing the electronics world, respected brand Technics has announced that it will no longer be involved in the development of audio separates, restricting its business in the main to DJ accessories such as turntables and headphones. Sister brand Panasonic is lined up to take over Technics' audio separates business under its own name, but since Panasonic is not known for its high-end hi-fi prowess, the brand has said that it will concentrate on the mid-to-lower end of the market only, marking the end for Technics-style high-end products. |
