Denon takes wraps of new flagship DVD deck
Denon has today released extensive specification details of its upcoming uberDVD, the DVD-A1. This 18.5kg reference class, THX-ULTRA certified DVD-Video/DVD-Audio player is due for release at the end of April for around Ј2,500 and aims to be the perfect partner for Denon’s upcoming AVC-A1SR/upgraded AVC-A1SE flagship amps. High-end features to get excited about are Denon Digital Link digital output for delivering 24-bit/192kHz audio to the aforementioned amps for total high-end DVD/DVD-A sound, and twin 14-bit 108MHz video DACS. There’s also HDCD decoding, full and flexible bass management for DVD-A, progressive scan circuitry, MP3 playback of CD-R/RW discs, JPEG photo disc support, and… well, let’s just give you a list, shall we?…
