| Richard Porter, editor of the past Beatle mag Off the Beatle Track and who runs the London Beatles Walks, has reported in the rec.music.beatles.info newsgroup that he has it "on good authority" that the Anthology videos have been remixed to 5.1 surround sound by the same people who did the YS Songtrack. The logical conclusion, as Richard states, is that a DVD release is in the works. He said the mixing had just been finished and a celebration gathering of those involved was due to take place at Abbey Road the day George's death was announced. He also says that because of "red tape," George never heard the remixes. This is obviously a rumor, but there have been reports of a DVD release being under consideration for some time. |
