In a hugely sinister development, reports are circulating that a commercial DVD from Warner Bros has been released carrying a lethal PC virus. The disc in question is the Cartoon Network's Powerpuff Girls - Meet The Beat-Alls, and it was released carrying the infamous FunLove virus. So if you installed the disc onto a PC, you could find that all the files on your local hard drive and your network directories become infected. The disc has now been recalled in the US, but if you're a UK buyer your best bet is to chuck the disc out as soon as you can. Let's hope this incident serves as a warning to software houses to check their releases closely for viruses and doesn't become just a first taste of a new plague...
