`High-end audio guru TAG McLaren has just released the first details about its eagerly awaited AV192R. Unusually the AV192R will be available in two ways: as a new standalone product, or intriguingly as an upgrade to an existing AV32R. In the latter case you just send your AV32R in to TAG, and they will perform the upgrade for a cost much reduced from that of buying a new AV192R.

`Among the chief differences between the much-loved AV32R and the new offering are much-increased memory for the processor,192kHz/24-bit internal processing from DVD-A material, a second DSP, RGB switching, a video scaler and DVI PanelLink A/V interface.
