Bridges to Babylon Well, Babylon 5 fans, the announcement you've been waiting for is finally here. Sort of. Warner has just issued a 12/4 street date for the first (and only?) Babylon 5 release to hit DVD. Though thematically in order, the episodes "The Gathering" and "In The Beginning" are the first season and fifth season pilots, respectively, with the former featuring a revamped cut as seen on TNT. No other information is yet available about the releases, including aspect ratio, sound formats or extras, though the retail price will be $19.95. A spokesperson for Warner stated there are no further details on the disc, and this is the only Babylon 5 release scheduled for 2001. Watch for further details to arrive soon.. |
